Events

Events in SIM for Things (SFT) provide a complete view of all activities related to your connected endpoints and account. They are designed to help you monitor connectivity, analyse usage, and audit operational changes across your IoT estate.


What are those events?

Events are chronological logs of key actions and network events associated with your Enterprise. They are updated in near real time and retained for the last four (4) weeks.
You can access them through the SFT Portal or via the callback API for automation and integration with your own systems.


Why Use Event Reports?

  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues quickly by reviewing mobility and usage events.

  • Track operational changes such as SIM activations, suspensions, or plan updates.

  • Monitor account-level actions for compliance and cost control.

  • Export and integrate event data into your analytics or monitoring tools.


Event Categories

Event Reports are organised into four main categories, making it easier to filter and analyse the information you need:

Category

Description

Mobility Events

Network-related activities such as attach/detach, roaming, and session changes.

Usage Events

Data and SMS usage details, including volumes and message delivery status.

Endpoint Events

Lifecycle and configuration changes for SIMs/endpoints (e.g., activation).

Account Events

Account-level actions like add-on changes, balance updates, and limits.
